Sport Stream App (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free Android application that helps users stream youth sporting events live to YouTube and display a scoreboard during the stream.
Information we collect
We do not sell personal information and we aim to collect as little data as possible.
- YouTube / Google account access (OAuth): If you choose to connect your Google account to stream to YouTube, Google provides our app with an authorization token so the app can create and manage your live stream. We do not receive your Google password.
- Scoreboard data you enter: Team names, scores, period/time, or similar information you enter in the app is used only to display the scoreboard overlay. We do not upload this information to our own servers.
- Technical information: Basic device/app diagnostics may be generated by Android/Google Play services (for example, crash logs) depending on your device settings. If you distribute privately and do not use analytics, we do not intentionally collect analytics profiles.
How we use information
- To enable streaming to YouTube and show the scoreboard overlay.
- To troubleshoot issues if you contact us for support.
Sharing of information
We do not share or sell personal information to third parties. Streaming content is transmitted to YouTube because that is the service you choose for hosting the live stream. Your use of YouTube is also governed by Google’s policies.
Data storage and retention
- On our side: We do not operate a user database for this app and we do not store your YouTube authorization tokens on our servers. Any tokens stored are kept locally on your device (if applicable) for the purpose of keeping you signed in.
- On your device: The app may store settings you choose (e.g., last used scoreboard values) locally so the app is easier to use. You can clear this by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in Android settings.
- On YouTube: Your live streams and any associated content are stored and managed by YouTube under your Google account.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended to be used by adults (such as coaches, volunteers, or parents) to stream youth sporting events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will address it.
Your choices and controls
- Revoke Google access: You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings (Third-party access / Security settings).
- Delete local app data: You can clear the app’s stored data via Android Settings → Apps → Sport Stream App → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling the app.
